My Closet: Web Zine
MyCloset is a self-coded web zine that was created to draw attention to the intrinsic value of our belongings by seeking to discover the sentimentality attached to the clothes we wear. For this project, I used my own closet as an example and thought about what memories, people, places, senses, emotions, and thoughts come to mind when reflecting on my clothing. If we stop to reflect on the clothes we wear, perhaps we can combat the ethos of disposability that propels overconsumption in the 21st century, and learn a little more about ourselves in the process.
This project was made in Visual Studio Code and Adobe Photoshop for UCLA DES|MA 111, Art + the Internet, taught by Casey Reas and Melody Ping.
